Edward factually states “Jacob Black can give you gifts” and B realizes that she’d made such a fuss about Edward not giving her any gifts in the past. Chapter 25 “Mirror”: This one begins with Bella forcing her eyes to open but it’s beyond difficult for her to really SEE what had just happened. Victoria was gone… as Edward covers the body with pine needles. Seth returns with body parts, and the group sets it all afire. I was kinda good without this part… Edward and Seth have a moment of camaraderie with a “nice teamwork” acknowledgment … Pop Quiz: Do you think that the Cullens could have done anything else to save Bree Tanner – like hide her or offer something else or was it totally a lost cause? Chapter 11 “Legends”: This is definitely a light-hearted start to the chapter – with the sheer amount of food that these werewolves can consume, I think they should probably enter a hot dog eating contest because they’d all be ringers. Time had flown for Bella as she notices the day is over, and she actually second-guesses going to the big bonfire with Jacob because she thinks the others will think of her as a traitor. But Bella is warmly greeted, even being called Vampire Girl by Embry. A whole lot of the group is in attendance including Quil, Emily, Paul, Billy, Old Quil, Sue Clearwater and the kids Leah and Seth … Pop Quiz: What do you think Bella would have done about the vampire-wolf attack in her dream if she hadn’t woken up? I’d like chapter books that are in paperback and are age-appropriate for 3rd-6th graders. Cussing and sexual content should be kept to a minimum if at all. Classics are probably out of the question b/c I don’t want to step on the toes of teachers. So far I’ve got The Secret Apartment, The Landry News, The War with Grandpa, and The Watsons Go to Birmingham. If you’re a middle schooler who has some books you really like(d), I’d love your opinion. Same thing for parents and book lovers in general.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I’ve thought about series books as many of you have mentioned, but these are books kids read already. I’d like for the books to be ones they might not normally select on their own. I also don’t want to alienate boys w/the selections as they’re less inclined to go to the club meetings as it is. Keep ‘em coming!
