AN artist of this magnitude is a gift to us all.

We can’t celebrate his gifts enough.

And there is no reason to wait 100 years or 10 years or 1 year or even 1 day to recognize & embrace this amazing writer, musician, singer and performer.

We need such a brilliant mind , deep soul & rich heart now as much as ever.

    Long live blues-ologist Gil Scott-Heron

Gil used to be a good looking black man. when he was in his twenties.

as it says in black and white “the god Dam White man” this could be the book title i expect it will be hard to find!

It may be worth looking out a copy of “the vulture” or “the nigger factory”, sometimes published in one binding. both are by Gill

I am absolutely staggered to find out that Gil’s father actually played for Celtic back in the 1950’s. Considering their reputation back in the day vis a vis Black Players no wonder Gils a figher. Still Celtic are a great team though for Scots.
