This is the number “Book Report” from the animated version. Please do not ask for “Beethoven Day” or “My New Philosophy.” Those songs were only in the 1999 version. This 1985 special is based on the 1967 show, which did not include those two. I DO NOT OWN PEANUTS. PEANUTS IS OWNED BY UNITED FEATURES SYNDICATE AND CHARLES M. SCHULZ.
At least Schroeder made a good text to text connection
Lucy: Homework
Charlie Brown: Homework
Schroeder: Homework
Linus: Homework
All: YUCK!!!
HAHAHAHA
Schroeder is kinda scary in this song. My friend Payden was just in a professional performance of this play and he played Schroeder and did amazing! He got to use a quill pen instead of a typewriter. He was yelling the “Robin Hood” parts, though. Ahh!
Just like mex x)
I sometimes think about it whenever I have lots of homework to do.
Ah, sweet, sweet, Procrastinating. Poor Charlie Brown. This makes me laugh, because I do the same thing sometimes, when I must write a book report/essay. I’m glad I found this!
It reminded me of “Robin Hood”
And the part where Little John jumped from the rock to the Sheriff of Nottingham’s back. and then Robbin and ev’ryone swung from the trees in a sudden suprise attack. And they captured the Sheriff and all of his goods And they carried him back to the camp in the woods, and the Sheriff was guest at there dinner and all. But he wriggled away and he sounded the call and his men rushed in and the arrows flew.
“Peter Rabbit” did, sort of, that kind of thing too…
Linus A+ (It could be his college thesis)
Schroeder C (Off topic, but creative)
Charlie Brown C (True, but dull)
Lucy F (Very very very very very… lol…)
schroeder was merely tying in another literary element ok gosh
Sooo funny but true! I have 4 kids and I think each of them studes differently like CB, Lucy, Schroeder and Linus. This sing makes me happy when I watch it. Brings back a lot of good memories! =>
I used to watch this one religious when I was younger!! Those were the days.
Man… I can TOTALLY relate to Charlie Brown in this number. PRIME example of procrastination
this is my favorite song in the whole cartoon… i dont know bout the play cus i havent heard new philosophy or beethovens day
yea, i’m just saying thatz how my bro and i would grade it
That’s where a clever teacher would go “You get an “A” for your Robin Hood story, but I still want a hundred words about Peter Rabbit–and yes, it’s okay to say how much you hated having to read Beatrix Potter.”
No. Schroeder should get an A-, but he has to do a book report on a more substantial story like “Treasure Island” or “Island of the Blue Dolphins”
Lucy gets a C, because she was “padding” her report.
Linus needs to be moved up a couple grades or given something more meaty to read than Beatrix Potter.
Charlie Brown also gets a C because he spent more time worrying than writing.
xD!!!!!
Lawl…Are you SURE Linus aint some phsychological social-moral whack?! What is he, writing some kind of report to Harvard?!
This is what my brother and I think
Linus= A+; because he added detail into his report and that’s very oustanding for someone his age (move him up to a higher grade!)
Charlie= B; Mostly because he was thinking it out, but like he said, you work best sometimes when you’re under pressure, but that also mean rushed work
Lucy= B-; Mostly because she took about 5 minutes and used the word “very” to often and might have mispelled for rushing.
Schroeder= D; Flat. out. D. He was WAY off topic!
Linus isn’t writing a book report…he’s writing a psychological analytical dissertation!
I didn’t know there was a cartoon! We just did the play!
lol…im going to have so much fun singing this.
Wow, what a horrible way to grade…
Robin hood got an A for a Peter Rabbit report?
That’s probably how they’d be graded if they presented them in a public school today. Personally, I’d say:
Linus: A-; good idea but too much detail for a 3rd grade book report
Lucy: F; pulled random issues from the book but did not use them properly
Schroeder: B-; Good comparison but very few details from Peter Rabbit
Charlie: B+; Good idea to think out what you are going to say before you begin
Linus- F your soo boring
Lucy- B a nice book report
Charlie- A+ you have understanded the topic
Schroeder- A- a Robin Hood report was better than peter rabbit
